Welcome to the CHS Media Center. Our mission is to develop a culture of reading as a foundational skill for knowledge, learning, personal growth and lifelong enjoyment. We also strive to increase Information and Technology Literacy using curated digital resources. The CHS Media Center has approximately 18,000 books and Ebooks for checkout. All books and Ebooks are listed in Destiny, the online catalog located in CLEVER. We also subscribe to numerous magazines.
Students are permitted to check out books for two weeks. A book may be renewed if another student has not reserved it.
Your student number is used to check out materials. Students are responsible for anything checked out.
Students should return all books to the book drop inside the media center. A lost or damaged book must be paid for and if found, the money will be refunded.
CHS Book Club
Book Club members will read the Georgia Peach Book Award titles (20) in preparation for the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl. This club will meet on Tuesday after school. Please see Ms. Holland for the list of titles. Once the reading bowl is over, the CHS Book Club will read a book a month chosen by the club members.
