Students qualify for the academic letter in one of three ways..... a cumulative GPA of 3.75; or successful completion of 2 AP classes in their sophomore year or 3 AP classes their junior year; or improvement of a letter grade in four core classes from one semester to the next, i.e. grades must rise from C's to B's or B's to A's. Details of requirements and documentation are on the Academic Letter application and on page 13 of the CCHS Student Parent Handbook. Academic letters are awarded at the respective Honors programs in late spring. First year award recipients will receive an academic letter suitable for the CCHS letter jacket. Second and subsequent year award recipients will receive a bar to wear on the academic letter.
